2020 Holiday Card Exchange is HERE!

 

Tis' finally here my letter loving friends, our 8th annual holiday card exchange!! You know what that means right...? 2020 is almost outta here!!!

As much as this year has been a real bear (and that's a disservice to bears), it's also taught us a lot of lessons. One of them is that we're realllly scrappy. And that we're a tight knit team.

The most fun part of 2020 for us has been re-launching our YouTube channel and dreaming up fun, inspiring and informative videos for all of you. So...let us announce officially the 2020 exchange with this festive video for your viewing pleasure!

We hope you enjoy it! It certainly brought some joy and cheer to us while making it. And those things are MUCH NEEDED this year.

So why don't we exchange some holiday cards? This year, we've chosen to use one of our new cards of the season, our Cactus Seasons Greetings Sticker Card. Our addressing this year is fun, coordinating with the card to look like a present! As always it will be hand addressed by our in house expert, Bailey Amon Rivera.

2017 Holiday Card Exchange!

You guys...it's THAT time of the year again. We can't even believe it! One of the most fun parts of the holidays for us each year is our 5th (what seriously!?) annual Holiday Card Exchange! Have you participated before? It's THE ABSOLUTE FREAKING BEST.

See 2013's Holiday Card Exchange here and 2014's here and 2015's here and 2016's here. We're always THRILLED by how many of you write to us! It is so fun to see your families, hear your thoughts and see what holiday cards you picked!

We just LOVE getting snail mail and we have a feeling that you do too! Who doesn't adore finding a gorgeous piece of mail in their box amongst the bills and flyers? We know it brightens our day.

So why don't we exchange some holiday cards? This year, we've chosen to use our Retro Happy Holidays Greeting Card, the perfect combo of Vintage + Modern. Of course, the gorgeous calligraphy was done by Bailey in bright turquoise, a very fun take on holiday colors!!!

2014 Holiday Card Exchange!

One of the most fun parts of the holidays last year was our Holiday Card Exchange. It was our first year doing it and we were FLOORED by how many of you wrote to us! It was so fun to see your families, hear your thoughts and see what holiday cards you picked!

Write On! Campaign | Week One

Whew! Made it through week one...

We've had so much fun participating in Egg Press and Hello Lucky's month long Write On! campaign which started on April 1st. Bailey has been keeping our Instagram feed alive with her lovely letters all week! Follow us @antiquariadesign for a day-by-day update of our month long letter writing journey.

It's been so nice to take the time to sit down and write a letter or a quick note to loved ones. You send so much more personality and love with a handwritten letter than in a text or email. It's amazing the difference that it makes. Hopefully the letter recipients feel the love and pay it forward by writing someone too!

Let's Send More Mail | Write On!

It makes sense that stationery companies love their snail mail. We sure do over here! But even with swoon-worthy stationery crossing our desks every day, we too fall short of our letter writing goals.

Did you know that April is National letter writing month? Let's all make a goal to write actual letters to the people that matter in our life. Something that they can keep and cherish, something so un-like a text message or email.

There is something very special about receiving actual mail in your mailbox. The feeling of bringing it in, carefully opening it and hanging onto every last word that the sender wrote. It's an experience. Something that should be celebrated and not lost.

The folks over at 2 of our favorite stationery companies, Egg Press and Hello!Lucky think so too. They're actually sending out cards so that people can get their Write On! How cool is that? (See cards above). A note from them about their campaign:

"In an effort to connect more with our friends and loved ones and to create better letter writing habits Egg Press, along with our friends at Hello!Lucky, has decided to engage in a letter writing campaign called WRITEON for the month of April. We're each endeavoring to write 30 letters to 30 people in 30 days. And as it happens this project coincides with National Letter Writing Month. We hope you will join us! To that end we have created this special WRITEON Letter Writing Kit containing 4 letterpress printed cards - 2 from Egg Press and 2 from Hello!Lucky - and we are giving out a limited number of these kits for free. Each card will have instructions on the back that tell how each recipient can receive their own free kits. And on and on. We hope to see an ever-increasing web of connectedness and good feelings. We invite everyone to share their letter-writing adventures online (#WRITE_ON) and to follow us on Instagram and Facebook where we will be sharing letter writing ideas."
